Hall of Fame Scholarships
This year, on its 25th Anniversary, the Hall is delighted to announce
that two $1000 Scholarships will be awarded in 2007. Our original
donor, Jostens School Suppliers, has been joined by The Suzanne
Manlet Foundation with a gift of $1000. A legendary CIF Championship
Softball coach at Simi Valley High School, Suzanne was also an accomplished
athlete at Hueneme High School and Ventura College. More than wins
and losses, she instilled in her players a work ethic and a sense
of mission that superseded the actual games. Suzanne Manlet was
posthumously inducted into the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame
in 2004. Her Foundation works likes Suzanne did- to impact the lives
of young people in the most positive way it can..
